Approved methods for measurement and analysis of environmental noise in NSW
The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has produced new approved methods for the measurement and analysis of environmental noise in NSW.
The approved methods for noise has been developed to consolidate and formalise the technical standards that the EPA currently requires to be met when measuring and analysing environmental noise.
Once finalised and released, the approved methods for noise will be referenced in environment protection licences or statutory instruments to define the procedure for determining compliance with noise conditions.
Licensees and others regulated by the EPA must make sure
consultants and laboratories use the approved methods.
The approved methods for noise will be of interest to you if you are required, through an environment protection licence or statutory instrument, to measure or analyse environmental noise or you are a consultant that carries out this work for persons regulated by the EPA.
The new approved methods for the measurement and analysis of environmental noise in NSW is available for download from the document library to the right. The document library also includes a technical note.
