Helping suppliers help the environment

We are seeking feedback on the Draft Single-use plastic guidelines for industry. Have a read and tell us what you think.

The Draft Single-use plastic guidance for industry (food service ware items) will help suppliers of plastic food service items identify whether their food service ware products are part of these banned single-use plastic items coming into force on 1 November 2022.

The NSW Environment Protection Authority (the EPA) is consulting with stakeholders to ensure the guidelines are easily understood and will help suppliers of plastic food service ware to comply with the new rules.

Your views on the criteria proposed in the guidelines are highly valued and will inform the implementation on the 1 November bans. We want your feedback on:
  • One

Whether the guidelines are easy to follow and the purpose of the bans is clear

  • Two

The criteria we have chosen to demonstrate reusability

  • Three

Whether there are other criteria or factors you feel should be considered
