Why it matters

About the NSW Environment Youth Advisory Council

The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) established the Environment Youth Advisory Council in 2022 to enable young people aged 15-22 years to engage on a range of environmental issues.

The council meets three times per year, either online or in person, to discuss issues and provide strategic advice and recommendations to the EPA on environmental issues, policies and projects that affect young people in NSW.

Who we are

We are 12 young people from across NSW. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of all the lands from which we meet including the Gadigal, Wangal, Dharug, Wiradjuri, Darkinjung, Ngunnawal, Guringai and Gundungurra peoples.

We have a passion for the environment and want to contribute to the work of the EPA by sharing our feedback and ideas.
